Four people are recovering after a massive fire Friday at a condo complex in Hampton.Preview: A Virginia man accused of killing his wife and then hiding her body will be back in court this week. A hearing for Naresh Bhatt will be held in Prince William County on Friday. Court documents indicate that the hearing will involve testimony from an out-of-state witness, but no other details have been released. Bhatt was arrested last August in Manassas Park following the disappearance of his wife, Mamta Kafle Bhatt. Investigators believe the suspect killed his wife and then tried to conceal the crime by dumping parts of her body in trash bags at several locations.
The Virginia State Parks system will be celebrating Earth Day with a weeklong series of events and activities. State Parks Director Melissa Baker says the goal is to empower Virginians to make a positive impact on the environment inside and outside of the state's parks. Earth Day will be observed tomorrow, but more than 50 related events will be held through April 27th.
The White House is doing a full-court press today, announcing a lab leak in China is the true origin of the COVID-19 pandemic. It published a web page last Friday at COVID dot gov that details where the virus first infected humans and how it spread. The White House said a SARS research lab in Wuhan had workers sick with COVID like symptoms in the fall of 2019. The administration also says public health officials misled the American people through "conflicting messaging, knee jerk reactions and a lack on transparency."
