Authorities are releasing more information about an acid spill at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. The spill happened Tuesday morning in the railyard at the plant. Initial estimates put the amount of nitric acid released at around 600 gallons. That was updated yesterday to more than 65-hundred gallons. One person was evaluated for injuries following the spill. Officials say cleanup efforts at the plant are going well.  
 
 
A Richmond business owner feels like the city slapped her in the face and punched her in the gut. Teshia LeSane owns Harlym Blue'Z, and like many businesses, it suffered during January's water outage. She applied for one of the recovery grants the city is offering small businesses, but she says her application was denied without explanation. LeSane tells 8News the whole experience was very disappointing and overwhelming.

Open burning will soon be banned in Loudoun County. The county fire marshal announced this week that open burning will be prohibited from May 1st to September 30th. The ban applies to all open-air fires except for small campfires and portable outdoor fireplaces. The ban also applies to the towns of Leesburg, Lovettsville, Middleburg, Purcellville and Round Hill.
