A Virginia Beach police officer has been denied bond after being charged with touching a teenager in his custodial care.Preview: Residents of a town in Loudoun County are moving forward with an effort to recall four council members. The group turned in signature petitions yesterday in a bid to unseat Purcellville's mayor, vice mayor and two other town council members. A spokesperson says the group was upset with the four council members even before they voted recently to disband the police department. The council later voted to fully fund the department, but the group doesn't plan to end the effort.
Early voting for Virginia's June primaries will begin on Friday. The only statewide races on the primary ballot are between Democratic candidates for lieutenant governor and attorney general. Some communities will also pick candidates for the House of Delegates and several local elections. The early voting period runs from May 2nd to June 14th, with Election Day scheduled for June 17th.
Align Technologies, maker of the Invisalign teeth straightening system, is announcing a new product that straightens teeth as well as aligns the jaw. The new device is designed to help realign the jaws of patients experiencing what has been termed as an overbite or deep bite issue. The system is intended to be primarily used to help patients aged ten to 16.
