They also shot down an amendment to withhold funding from local law enforcement agencies that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities. The governor has 30 days to decide if he will veto bills and budget items sent back to him by the General Assembly.
Parents in Goochland County are looking for answers after a surprise move by the school board. On Tuesday, the board announced it had fired Superintendent Dr. Michael Cromartie without cause.
