The Hill reports Democrat Elizabeth Warren warned from the Senate floor that the GENIUS Act, which would tie stablecoins to a 1-to-1 ratio with "Federal Reserve notes," could lead to a financial meltdown comparable to the 2008 crash. Ultimately, the Senate voted to advance the legislation Monday night, bringing the key crypto bill one step closer to final passage.

Alexeyev was reportedly treated for pepper spray exposure, then booked and released. The Capitals say they are aware of the situation and are still gathering information about the arrest.
