A former Henrico County teacher is accused of bestiality. Former Pocahontas Middle School teacher Chanelle Lincoln was in court yesterday. She was arrested in October for allegedly engaging in a sex act with her dog. Police say they started investigating after learning the school's principal received a video of the incident. Lincoln taught at the school for about five years. She resigned after her arrest.
A newly signed order in Virginia aims at fighting antisemitism in the classroom.Preview: The National Park Service says the George Washington Parkway will be fully open in time for rush hour this morning. A two-and-a-half-mile section of the parkway between Belle View Boulevard and Alexandria Avenue has been closed for several days due to damage from Friday's severe storms. Park service staff and hired contractors worked overtime to clear fallen and damaged trees and ensure the road was safe for drivers. The multi-day cleanup also forced drivers to find alternate routes, causing additional traffic headaches in the area.
The No Tax on Tips Act is moving on to the House after it passed unanimously in the Senate Tuesday. Democratic Senator Jacky Rosen of Nevada called for immediate passage of the bipartisan bill and there were no GOP objections. The bill establishes a new tax deduction of up to 25-thousand dollars for tips. President Trump proposed the idea during his campaign. Eliminating taxes on tips is also expected to be included in the House GOP's megabill.
