Two Virginians are dead after a plane crash in New York. Investigators say a Beechcraft Bonanza A-36 took off from Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip on Monday night and then crashed near the end of the runway. Forty-six-year-old Christopher Kucera and 43-year-old Zachary Hatcher died in the crash. The two men were reportedly heading back to Fredericksburg after visiting friends in New York. The FAA and NTSB are investigating.

Richmond's mayor isn't bothered by a potential lawsuit over a controversial land sale. The city council on Monday voted unanimously to sell a former school building on Chamberlayne Ave to the Virginia League of Planned Parenthood for just ten dollars. The Families First Legal Center, though, says it may sue the city because it sold the building illegally. A lawyer for the organization says the law required the city to solicit bids from all interested parties, and that was not done. Mayor Levar Stoney said yesterday Planned Parenthood's offer was unsolicited, and the city followed all the laws. He also tells CBS 6 he wears the potential lawsuit as a badge of honor because his job is to provide care for people who need it the most.
