A former Virginia Beach police officer has pleaded guilty to child sex crime charges. Yesterday Kyle LaLonde entered guilty pleas to eleven felony counts, including a proposed sex act by a communication system, possession of child sex abuse materials, and possession of bestiality images. The charges stem from LaLonde communicating with a 12-year-old girl last year and attempting to meet up with her. LaLonde is scheduled to be sentenced on January 7th.

The Federal Reserve is cutting interest rates for the first time in more than four years. The Central Bank cut rates by half-a-point in its announcement on Wednesday. The Fed had maintained a goal of seeing inflation get down to two-percent before moving to cut rates. August saw the 12-month inflation rate fall to two-and-a-half-percent.
