Former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Junior will not be appearing on the ballot in Virginia. The state Department of Elections has confirmed that it is dropping Kennedy's name from the ballot at his request. Five presidential candidates will appear on the November ballot, including Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and Republican nominee Donald Trump. Others approved for the ballot include Green Party nominee Jill Stein, Libertarian Chase Oliver and independent Claudia De la Cruz.

Stocks slid in a broad sell-off after weak manufacturing data reignited fears of an economic slowdown. Also yesterday, President Biden spoke at the kickoff event of the Investing in America Content Series saying the U.S. has gone from an economic crisis to the strongest economy in the world. Biden touted what his administration has done since he took office to help boost the economy as all three major averages tumbled with the tech-heavy Nasdaq plunging 577 points.
