A man accused of concealing his wife's body after she disappeared in July is moving closer to going on trial. Naresh Bhatt waived his right to a grand jury hearing yesterday in a Prince William County courtroom. Bhatt will be back in court on September 16th for a hearing that will determine a trial date. Mamta Kafle Bhatt was reported missing in late July and police have been unable to find her body. Investigators conducted multiple searches in the Manassas Park area yesterday but were unable to find anything connected to Bhatt's disappearance.

Drivers who use the Dulles Greenway won't be paying higher tolls. Virginia's State Corporation Commission rejected a requested increase in a final order issued Wednesday. The company that owns the Greenway wanted to raise peak tolls for two-axle vehicles by two-dollars and 30 cents, and off-peak tolls by a dollar and 15-cents. The commission said granting the request would discourage drivers from using the Greenway.  
 
 
The FDA is launching an independent review of toxic metals found in tampons. Democratic Senator Patty Murray of Washington state said Thursday that she called for an FDA probe after a recent study showed higher-than-expected levels of toxic metals in several brands of tampons. The study published last month showed the presence of lead, arsenic and over a dozen other harmful metals in 14 commonly used tampon brands. Heavy metals can cause numerous health issues including kidney disease and heart disease.
