Manassas police have arrested a man in connection with an attempted abduction reported last week. A young girl told police that a man impersonating a police officer tried to kidnap her last Thursday. The man allegedly forced her into his vehicle and drove down several streets before the girl managed to escape. Police arrested 23-year-old Jesus Enrique Ramirez Cabrera on Friday and charged him with abduction, robbery, impersonating a police officer and petty larceny.

The Hopewell-Prince George Chamber of Commerce helped put the event together. A chamber official says it provided an opportunity to come together, be neighborly, get to know one another and get involved. She also tells 8News we hope to keep it coming year after year.
Stellantis is recalling over one-million Ram pickup trucks worldwide due to a software problem. In a statement, the vehicle manufacturer said the trucks may have a software malfunction in the anti-lock brake system that could increase the risk of crashing. The recall includes certain trucks from 2019 and 2021 through 2024. Stellantis says it is unaware of any related crashes or injuries.
