A Winter Storm Warning is active for the entire region until 1:00 tomorrow morning. Forecasters say we could see a brief break late this morning and into the early afternoon with intermittent light snow and maybe some sleet. A second round of snow is on tap for late this afternoon and evening before ending late tonight. Snow totals of six to ten inches are likely across much of the region with heavier accumulations possible in isolated areas.
Richmond is under a State of Emergency. All city offices are closed. Two temporary inclement weather overflow shelters opened yesterday. They'll be open until tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The shelters are at Marshall Plaza on East Marshall Street and the Richmond Police Department's Second Precinct on East Belt Boulevard.

It was a good homecoming for three members of the University of Richmond women's basketball team. Massachusetts natives Payton Richard, Sam Dewey and Rachel Ullstrom all scored in yesterday's 82-52 win at UMass. UR improves to 2-and-one in the A-10 and 11-and-5 overall. The VCU women were also in action, but they fell to Dayton, 69-49, at the Siegel Center. The Rams drop to one-and-two in the A-10 and 7-and-8 overall.
