A pet food facility in King William, along with others, is donating pet care products to hurricane relief efforts.Preview: Richmond's Main Street Station is slated to be used as a stop for Greyhound. The city's transportation committee voted to approve the site as a pick-up and drop-off for the company yesterday. This comes after the Arthur Ashe Boulevard location for Greyhound closed earlier this week. The full city council must make the final decision.
Two Virginia cities are making unwanted appearances on a list put together by a well-known pest control company. Orkin released its annual ranking of the "rattiest" cities in the United States on Monday. The company compiles the ranking based on new residential rodent treatments done between September of last year and August of this year. Norfolk was ranked 24th overall, while Richmond was 37th. Chicago was named the rattiest city in America for the tenth consecutive year.
A piece of music history is up for sale. The console that The Beatles used to record their last album, "Abbey Road," will be available for sale at the end of this month. Dave Harries, who participated in several recording sessions with the legendary band, said this particular recording console is unique as it sounds so good that it holds up against any modern console. The "Abbey Road" recording console goes on sale on October 29th. Its price has yet to be announced.
