Some residents and visitors to the Summerland Heights Apartment complex in Woodbridge are not happy with an hybrid owner. Prince William County fire officials say an electrical malfunction in a hybrid vehicle led to an overnight blaze that destroyed eight vehicles and damaged three more. Investigators say leaking gasoline from the burning hybrid helped the flames quickly spread. Nobody was hurt.
Virginia Republican Senate candidate Hung Cao [[ cow ]] says Democratic Senator Tim Kaine hasn't done much during his time in Congress. The two candidates met for their only scheduled debate last night in Norfolk. Cao criticized Kaine's record, saying the senator has only managed to pass three of the 220 bills he's proposed in the Senate. Kaine said the accusation was false, prompting Cao to quip, "Never go against an Asian when it comes to math." The two candidates also clashed on issues such as student loan forgiveness, diversity and inclusion initiatives, immigration and abortion. It's the only face-to-face meeting scheduled for the two candidates before November's election.
