Attorneys for Naresh Bhatt have filed a motion to quash the warrant that led to his arrest for concealing a body. The defense claims the warrant contains false statements related to a body being dragged from Bhatt's home. Prosecutors responded Tuesday by saying the warrant was written quickly during a criminal investigation and should be considered in a commonsense manner. Mamta Kafle Bhatt disappeared in late July and police have yet to find her body. Naresh Bhatt will be back in court for a hearing next Thursday.
It's not just DMV first responders and utility crews helping the folks down south with hurricane relief efforts, area pilots are also stepping up. Leesburg Executive Airport has been bustling with activity in recent days as a number of pilots are volunteering to fly supplies to flood zones in North Carolina. A hangar at the airport is being used to store donations that are loaded onto planes as soon as they're ready for takeoff. Pilots have been paying for the 300 to-a-thousand-dollar round trips out of their own pockets.
