Fairfax County's Charge Up Fairfax program has successfully installed its first communal electric vehicle charging stations in the Harpers Square cluster in Reston near Fair Oaks. The program offers technical and financial assistance to residential associations looking to add EV chargers in their common areas. According to FFX Now DOT COM, The county covers the cost of engineering site visits and feasibility assessments, while participating associations are responsible for installation and permits. The program aims to increase the accessibility of EV charging infrastructure and promote a greener future in the county.  
 
It's been a year since a Virginia Beach neighborhood received regular mail delivery and it doesn't look like the US Postal Service is going to be much help for residents. A cluster mailbox was struck by a car and severely damaged last December in the Campus East community. Resident Charlotte Keeley tells WAVY she uses an Uber to pick up her mail directly at the Witchduck Post Office.

The Post Office says maintaining and replacing the cluster mailbox is the responsibility of the property owner.  
 
The Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors approved funding for three park improvement projects during a recent meeting. The Park at River City Sportsplex will receive $9.7 million for a playground, spray park, and various recreational zones. WRIC reports Beulah Park will get $3.1 million for a new playground and spray park, while the Lowe’s Athletic Complex will receive $2.1 million for parking lot paving and additional amenities. These projects are expected to be completed by 2026.
