It's been a year since a Virginia Beach neighborhood received regular mail delivery and it doesn't look like the US Postal Service is going to be much help for residents. A cluster mailbox was struck by a car and severely damaged last December in the Campus East community. The Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors approved funding for three park improvement projects during a recent meeting. The Park at River City Sportsplex will receive $9.7 million for a playground, spray park, and various recreational zones. WRIC reports Beulah Park will get $3.1 million for a new playground and spray park, while the Lowe’s Athletic Complex will receive $2.1 million for parking lot paving and additional amenities. These projects are expected to be completed by 2026.
