UVA Health resumed gender-affirming care for minors last week after a federal judge blocked the President's order. This morning's meeting will reportedly review the university's compliance with the executive order and could determine if those services are halted permanently.
The Navy is relieving the captain of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, days after the nuclear-powered vessel collied with a merchant vessel near the Suez Canal. Captain Dave Snowden was relieved , according to a press release, due to a loss of confidence in his ability to command. The ship is now under the temporary command of Captain Christopher Hill, commander of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. The Truman was waiting to enter the canal February 12th when it struck the merchant vessel. The carrier had been carrying out air strikes on ISIS targets in Somalia. It's now undergoing repairs in Greece.
