A new poll is showing a big shift in the race for governor in Virginia. The poll released yesterday by the Institute for Policy and Opinion Research at Roanoke College shows Democrat Abigail Spanberger leading Republican Winsome Earle-Searles. A poll released by the college in September showed Spanberger tied with Earle-Sears with 39-percent support. The new poll shows Spanberger still at 39-percent, but Winsome-Sears dropping to 24-percent. Thirty-two-percent of those polled say they are undecided. Spanberger and Winsome-Sears are expected to face each other in November.

New air safety rules around Reagan National Airport will halt commercial traffic whenever the President flies to or from the White House. The FAA confirmed its new policy following a Monday report in the Washington Post. The FAA modified helicopter flight patterns around the airport following a mid-air crash last month that killed 67 people.
A historic home in Richmond may soon be less accessible. The National Parks Service announced yesterday it's cutting the number of days you can tour the Maggie Walker House in Jackson Ward. Right now, tours are available Tuesday through Saturday, but starting March 4th, tours will only be available Fridays and Saturdays. Group tours will be available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The NPS didn't say why it was making the change.
