A Chesterfield County resident is OK and, thanks to firefighters, so is their dog. Chesterfield County Fire and EMS responded to a house fire last night on Hollyberry Drive. The blaze started in the kitchen and spread to the attic and roof. They got the flames under control in about half-an-hour. One person was treated for smoke inhalation and is expected to be OK. Firefighters searching the home found a dog and rescued it. It was not hurt. The resident is displaced, and there's no word on how the fire started.

Twelve Chinese nationals, including hackers, law enforcement officers, and employees of a private hacking company, have been charged in connection with cybercrime campaigns targeting dissidents, news organizations, U.S. agencies, and universities. The Sentinel and Enterprise dot com reports the indictments reveal a booming hacking-for-hire ecosystem in China, where private companies are paid by the Chinese government to target specific victims. The Chinese Embassy in Washington dismissed the allegations as a "smear," while the U.S. Treasury Department announced sanctions and a reward for information leading to the arrest of two indicted hackers.
