Two police officers are recovering after being shot during a traffic stop in Fairfax County. Investigators say an officer pulled over a speeding car on Majestic Lane in Fair Oaks yesterday afternoon. The driver was allegedly hostile and argumentative and warned police that he was armed. The driver allegedly opened fire after officers tried to stop him from grabbing his gun. The two officers were both hit in the arm, and a third officer opened fire and killed the driver. The 36-year-old driver lived in the area, but his name has not been released.
