A man is dead after a tragic workplace accident in Dinwiddie County. The sheriff's office says an employee at Rehrig Pacific on Weakly Road got caught in a piece of machinery yesterday morning. He has not been identified. CBS 6 reports OSHA is investigating.  
 
 
A Prince William County woman will spend more than a year in prison for failing to pay federal unemployment taxes. Fifty-seven-year-old Gail Jones of Dumfries was sentenced to 15 months in prison and ordered to pay over 950-thousand dollars in restitution yesterday. Federal prosecutors accused Jones of withholding income, Social Security and Medicare taxes from her employee's paychecks between 2013 and 2018 but not sending that money to the IRS. She pled guilty to the charges against her in March.  
 
 
The Chesapeake Bay Trust is sending thousands of dollars to two Virginia groups to fund projects to improve the environment.

Southern California-native and drag racing legend John Force remains hospitalized after suffering a major crash at more than 300-miles-per-hour in Virginia. Per an update provided by John Force Racing on Thursday, the 75-year-old Force is improving, but faces a long road to recovery. Force has been moved from a trauma intensive care unit to a neuro intensive care unit so doctors can focus on his head injury, which is their primary concern. John Force, a 16-time world champion, had a major side impact with the concrete retaining wall after the engine of his funny car exploded last Sunday.
