A Richmond official is siding with tenants in their dispute with a property manager. Residents at a 50-plus community called Legacy at Imperial Village have complained about broken elevators, bugs, leaks and air conditioning outages. City Councilwoman Ann Francis Lambert found out about the problems when she was volunteering with Meals on Wheels. She says she learned more when she attended a meeting with tenants. Lambert hopes the city can put some pressure on the property management company to get things fixed. She tells 12 On Your Side property management is not listening to any of the residents' complaints.
As the new school year approaches, school districts in Virginia and nationwide are facing staffing shortages, with many teachers leaving the industry during the pandemic.Preview: Virginia drivers are among the most aggressive in the United States. That's the finding of a new study by Forbes magazine, which ranks Virginia drivers seventh overall for aggressive and confrontational behavior. Forbes surveyed ten-thousand drivers and then compared each state on metrics like being forced off the road or cut off on purpose. Virginia had the second-highest percentage of drivers who reported being forced off the road or blocked from changing lanes. California ranked first overall, followed by Missouri and Utah.
