Police searched the home of Mamta Kafle Bhatt yesterday and the city's police chief addressed the media a few hours later. While acknowledging the public demand for more information, Chief Mario Lugo said he could not go into specifics due to the ongoing investigation. The 28-year-old woman has been missing since July 31st and Lugo said his officers have conducted hundreds of interviews and executed ten search warrants since then. He also said that Bhatt's husband is not cooperating with investigators looking into her disappearance.
A company that creates special editions of Monopoly featuring different U.S. cities is putting together a version for Virginia Beach. Top Trumps USA is currently accepting input on what should be featured on the game board, including local hotels, restaurants and landmarks. A spokesperson for the company says all nominations should be for locations that are Virginia Beach-specific, leaving out chains and franchises that can be found in other cities. Nominations can be submitted through the Top Trumps USA website.
