Police in Fairfax County have charged a daycare center owner after she allegedly restrained children with tape. Police received a report earlier this month about a possible assault at a licensed daycare in Bailey's Crossroads. Investigators reportedly found multiple instances of the owner using tape on children under her care. Police charged 47-year-old Sumy Shah of Alexandria with multiple counts of assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She turned herself in last week and was later released by a judge. She is due in court on September 26th.

A pair of kid entrepreneurs are getting overwhelming support from their community after a theft at their Chesapeake lemonade stand. Rebecca and Josh Caldwell reopened their stand on Bells Mill Road on Saturday and were immediately swarmed by people. Surveillance video showed a man approaching their stand earlier this month and running off with a jar containing about 40-dollars. The two kids made over six-thousand dollars during the four hours they were open on Saturday.
