The Nuclear fuel producer BWXT faces a potential penalty for safety violation. A Lynchburg business involved in nuclear fuel production for the U.S. Navy is under scrutiny for a safety violation related to a system used to detect hazards. WSLS reports the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has raised concerns that the system may not meet federal requirements. Despite the malfunction, BWXT assures that there was no danger. The NRC will announce its decision on the violation at a later date.  
 
 
New technology could help save lives in Chesterfield County. Starting Sunday, 911 callers will be able to share live video from the scene of an emergency with the dispatch center. It's called Prepared Live. The way it works is the dispatcher will send the caller a link that allows them to livestream from the scene. The dispatcher will be able to see live video and hear live audio. Tommy Tucker is the county's emergency communications director, and he says this will allow first responders to know what to expect before they get there.  
 
 
The price gap between fast-food and fast-casual restaurants is shrinking. Experts say some of the fast-casual chains are doing better because they are seen as more of a treat and there are fewer expectations around very low prices. Restaurant food prices increased by 30-percent from July 2019 to July 2024, according to the latest Consumer Price Index. Seventy-eight-percent of people surveyed by LendingTree said they now view fast food as a luxury.
