An investigation is underway after a gruesome discovery in Richmond. Police say a man's body was found in a car on Dinwiddie Ave in Blackwell yesterday afternoon. The RPD has not identified him, but CBS 6 reports he's the same man who was shot in June while driving on Chamberlayne Ave. No arrest has been announced, and there's no word on a motive.

Virginia Union University announced yesterday it'll demolish part of Richmond Community Hospital to build apartments. The RCH was the city's first Black-owned hospital when it opened 90 years ago on the Northside. There's some opposition to the plans, but VUU says by saving part of the building it'll permanently preserve the hospital's legacy after decades of the building being abandoned.
An Alexandria native may not have a chance to compete for his third medal of the Summer Olympics. Noah Lyles finished third yesterday in the men's 200 meters in Paris. Lyles won gold in the 100 meters earlier in the event. Following his run, Lyles said he started feeling ill on Tuesday and then found out he had COVID-19. Lyles was supposed to be part of the U.S. four-by-100-meter relay team but may have to skip the event due to his condition.
