An upcoming event in Chesterfield County aims to help first responders deal with their mental health challenges. Operation Yellow Tape is holding its third annual conference tomorrow at the Beulah Rec Center on Hopkins Road. Chesterfield Firefighter Kenny Mitchell started Operation Yellow Tape after another firefighter he was friends with committed suicide four-years ago. He says the conference is a way for those who struggle with mental health to share their stories with each other. Mitchell tells CBS 6 there's power in getting into a room with people who have been through hard things. You can get more info on Operation Yellow Tape at Kenny-Mitchell-Jr-dot-com.

Thanks to a generous donation, more students in Chesterfield County can learn a life-saving skill. The Edwards family donated money to buy 140 CPR kits for the school district. The kits were unveiled at a ceremony yesterday at Lloyd C. Bird High School. Crystal Barker teaches CPR at the school. She says learning CPR empowers students to be able to react in a situation that's unexpected and help in the right way. Phlow Corporation CEO Eric Edwards tells 12 On Your Side he hopes he can eventually donate kits to all schools in the state.
