The 4th annual Cruise-In was held yesterday at Compass Christian Church in Mechanicsville. Each year the classic car event raises money for a child battling cancer. This year, money was raised for ten-year-old Skylar Pritchett. Thousands turned out, and Skylar got a couple special treats. The church's pastor says Skylar was given her first motorcycle ride, and the Virginia Army Reserves also named her honorary staff sergeant. Christie Jones organized the event, and she tell CBS 6 it gave everyone the opportunity to really pour love out to Skylar and her family.
Virginia Tech has picked up its second football loss of the season. Rutgers beat the Hokies 26-23 in Blacksburg on Saturday thanks to a field goal with less than two minutes left in the game. UVA picked up its third win of the season on Saturday, going on the road to beat Coastal Carolina 43-24. James Madison remained undefeated, beating North Carolina 70-50 in Chapel Hill on Saturday. Liberty is also undefeated so far this season after a 35-24 win over East Carolina in Lynchburg.
