Virginia State Police say they have responded to hundreds of car crashes after a winter storm hit the region late Sunday. They say I-81, I-64 and I-77 saw the most crashes. Additional patrols are on Virginia roads working 12-hour shifts since the weekend. Officials advise residents to stay home and not travel on roads unless absolutely necessary.
