Governor Youngkin has said the state will be asking for a Major Disaster Declaration in order to help the region recover from Helene. President Biden has approved an Emergency Disaster Declaration which will unlock FEMA funds to aid some counties in the state. But they expect to add another thirteen counties and five cities to that declaration. Another round of rain and possible hurricane forming in the Gulf is expect to hit the state later this week which adding to fears of further aid needed. The death toll from Helene in Virginia is now up to two.  
 
The communitis of Alleghany and Bath counties shows up in record number over concerns about future of Lake Moomaw and health of Jackson River. Thomas Cage with the story.
