A federal judge has ordered the release of records of former President Trump's visit to Arlington Cemetery by this Friday. Trump visited the cemetery during a campaign stop in August to take pictures with Gold Star family members. During the visit, a cemetery employee reported that they were abruptly pushed aside after trying to enforce rules that prohibit political doings at the cemetery. While the Trump campaign says the pictures taken with Gold Star family members had given their approval, other graves of service members were seen in the pictures whose families had not given consent.
The Chairman of the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors announced that he will continue in his position until March 2025, as per a plea agreement reached in a criminal case.
