Chesapeake-based Dollar Tree has appointed their interim CEO as the official permanent CEO for the company. The Board of Directors appointed Michael C.Creedon as CEO this week. Creedon had been appointed interim after Rick Dreiling stepped down in November. Dreiling cited health reasons for leaving the company. There's a new bell-to-bell no cell phone policy for all Norfolk Public Schools in the new year. The school board voted six to one yesterday to adopt the policy beginning January 1st. Cell phones and all other electronic devices must be turned off and stored in a backpack before entering the building. The phone must also not be stored on the student's person or clothing. Just last week, Virginia Beach City Schools voted to allow high school students to be able to use their phones during lunch.
