Starting ten days ago with the ice storm, Youngkin says there were 450-thousand power outages across the state.  
Youngkin says some parts of the state will see between 6 and 12 inches of snow and people should not try and travel.  
 
Residents in Boones Mill say they're happy to have the power back on after being without it for nearly a week. Recent storms caused a tree to fall on power lines that caused power outages in the area. Power was finally restored yesterday afternoon. Several Boones Mill residents say they lost food in their fridges due to the power outages.  
 
As spring nears, one field is working to expand the conversation around career opportunities for those not afraid to get their hands dirty.
