Rocio Rivera has more.Preview: Hundreds of car crashes have been reported in the Hampton Roads region due to the winter weather hitting the state. Virgina State Police say they responded to more than 740 crashes yesterday. They cite speeding and unsafe conditions as causes for the accidents. The state saw several inches of snow fall yesterday. VSP says to stay off roads, but if you must travel, slow down, wear your seatbelt, and use your headlights. They also advise you to have supplies like a blanket, bottled water, chargers, and flashlights in your car in case of an emergency.
