A food forest is coming to the United Methodist Family Services of Virginia campus in Richmond. Around 20 volunteers from Blue Sky Fund, including Sydney Koetter, spent their Saturday mulching, weeding, creating mounds for blueberry bushes, planting artichokes and preparing beds for vegetables and herbs at the campus' food forest.

CBS6 reports the resource helps teach youth about science, community and generosity.

Residents in a Chesapeake neighborhood are reporting seeing a black bear walking around. One resident tells WAVY he saw a black bear on his security camera come up to his front door. That sighting was near Butts station and Elbow Road. Another resident reported a bear tore up his bird feeders. There have been no reports of anyone being injured by the bear. Wildlife officials recommend not approaching a bear if you see one, and removing any possible sources of food from outside in order to not attract them.
