A Virginia State Police effort to reduce deadly crashes on I-95 is happening again this week. The agency will conduct Operation DISSrupt tomorrow and Friday. The effort was launched in January in hopes of reducing crashes on the interstate by ten percent. The safety effort focuses on four main areas: distracted driving, impaired driving, speeding and seat belt usage.
More college graduates are applying for jobs with the federal government. A new survey by the campus recruitment website Handshake shows that DC is the second-most popular destination for recent graduates, right behind New York City. The website asked nearly 27-hundred students from more than 600 colleges about their career plans in the March survey. The website noted that computer science and technology majors are seeking more security after graduation and are applying for jobs with the government rather than taking positions in the more volatile tech sector.
