Two members of the Charles City County Election Board are asking the state to remove a third member for allegedly sharing election machine data. They say Maria Kinney shared passwords for election equipment with the chair of the county Republican Party during an accuracy test in January. The state board says it needs more information before deciding Kinney's status.
Six months after sending its three giant pandas back to China, Washington's National Zoo says two new giant pandas will arrive by the end of the year. The National Zoo and First Lady Jill Biden announced Wednesday that two pandas from China will return to Washington, D.C. later this year. The zoo has been without pandas after three of the animals were returned to China last year. One of the pandas heading to D.C. is the grandson of two of the pandas that left the zoo. China and the U.S. started their so-called "panda diplomacy" in 1972 under President Nixon.
