A park ranger is hurt after a shooting in Richmond. It happened yesterday afternoon at Belle Isle. Richmond Police say the ranger was talking to a man in the woods when the man shot him. The ranger had a bulletproof vest and only suffered minor injuries. The shooter fled the scene. No arrest has been announced.
Flags on all state and local buildings in Virginia will be raised today in honor of the inauguration of President-elect Trump. Governor Youngkin announced Saturday that flags would be raised to recognize the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States. Biden ordered flags to be flown at half-staff for a month after the death of former President Jimmy Carter. Flags will return to half-staff tomorrow.
For his inauguration, President-elect Trump is using a Bible from his mother, as well as the Lincoln Bible for his swearing-in today. His late mother gave him the Bible in 1955 for his primary school graduation, signed by church officials and inscribed with Trump's name.
