Richmond's mayor is worried about how immigration arrests will affect children. Dr. Danny Avula said yesterday some kids may not feel safe coming to school, and that's the absolute opposite of what he wants. He thinks social media may add to the fear. Avula tells 12 On Your Side he sees claims on social media that ICE is conducting raids, but that's not true.  
 
 
A nursing home employee is facing charges after a resident's death. Colonial Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Nurse Manager Michelle Beddoe appeared in courtto face charges of abuse of a vulnerable adult resulting in death. Prosecutors say Beddoe provided improper care to a 74-year-old woman who died of sepsis.  
 
 
A Bedford County nurse is celebrating after claiming one of the top prizes in the Virginia Lottery's New Year's Millionaire Raffle. Jacqueline Manges says she bought the ticket at a store in Moneta on Christmas Eve. She checked her ticket and found out she had won a million dollars. Four other people also won a million dollars in the annual raffle.
