The Richmond housing market continues to heat up. Zillow.com released a list this week of the country's 50 hottest housing markets. Richmond rose 11 spots in the last year and now ranks 9th in the country. Nationally, Buffalo is the hottest market for the second year in a row, and Indianapolis is second.
The Justice Department and a number of states are adding more landlords to its antitrust lawsuit against property management software service RealPage. The complaint accuses the major landlords, with more than one-point-three million units across 43 states, of colluding to use the RealPage software to set prices and reduce competition, raising prices for renters.
Today is a national day of mourning for the life of Jimmy Carter. A state funeral for the 39th president will be held at the Washington National Cathedral. President Biden is expected to deliver a eulogy at today's service with every other living U.S. president also in attendance.
