A teenager is hurt after a stabbing in Chesterfield County. It happened yesterday afternoon on Martingale Road. Police say a 16-year-old boy was stabbed and taken to the hospital. He's expected to survive. A suspect is in custody, but police have not announced what charges they face or revealed a motive.
A four-year-old beagle is getting the credit for keeping a batch of snake meat from entering the U.S. illegally. U.S. Customs and Border Protection says a passenger from Equatorial Guinea was carrying two pounds of snake meat in their luggage when they arrived at Dulles International Airport last month. An agricultural detection dog named Freddie sniffed out the meat and alerted officers. The traveler didn't have the proper permits and the meat was seized and turned over to wildlife inspectors.
