An elderly woman is recovering from a violent attack at her Colonial Heights home. Officers found the 74-year-old injured on Sunday after someone requested a welfare check. It appears she had been injured several days before. Investigators are asking neighbors on Essex Road to check their Ring or surveillance cameras for anything suspicious.
