A man is in custody for allegedly kidnapping a Chesterfield County woman who has dementia. Chesterfield's Elvin Moreno was arrested Saturday for taking 87-year-old Ursula David from her home on Gills Gate Drive last week. The two were found in New York City. Chesterfield Police say David is receiving medical treatment before she's returned home. The 36-year-old Moreno is a registered sex offender. Police say he and David are related, but there's no word on how.
Henrico County posted on Facebook yesterday that one of the big highlights for 2025 will be the opening of Firehouse 12 in Bungalow City on Nine Mile Road. It covers five acres and over 14-thousand square feet. The firehouse will service the Highland Springs community and the surrounding areas with an engine and a medic unit. The grand opening is likely to be in the spring.
