Work continues to get power restored in Central Virginia. Hundreds in the area are still in the dark after Tuesday's storm, but Dominion Energy says crews are working around the clock. At last check, Dominion was reporting over 300 outages in Richmond, over 200 in Chesterfield County and over 800 in Powhatan [[Pow-ah-tan]] County.
Changes are already in the works to prevent another water crisis in Richmond. Mayor Dr. Danny Avula discussed some of those changes yesterday after the city released a preliminary after-action report on last month's outage. He says the city has invested millions on equipment upgrades and repairs, including new backup power systems. Avula stresses this report is just a preliminary look at what happened that day. He says a much more robust report will come out in a couple weeks.
