Three children are dead after a shooting early yesterday in Chesapeake. Officers were called around 7 a.m. for a welfare check. A SWAT team was called after an armed woman was seen inside the home. Officers entered the home a short time later and found the woman dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The shooting is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

The Fairfax Circuit Court will be holding free civil marriage ceremonies in Reston on Tuesday. The cost for the ceremonies usually starts at around 75 dollars. Couples will be responsible for getting marriage licenses before the ceremonies. The ceremonies will be held at the Cathy Hudgins Community Center on Pinecrest Road from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
