The 46th annual Railroad Run was held Saturday in Ashland. It's a fundraiser for the Hanover Arts and Activities Center. Organizers tell CBS 6 it helps raise money for training, programs and lots of community events throughout the year.
Maryland Governor Wes Moore is refuting last week's NTSB Board report that claimed the Maryland Transportation Authority did not perform a proper risk assessment of Baltimore's Key Bridge before it collapsed. Moore said there isn't a bridge in the country that could have withstood a strike from a ship the size of the Dali, which crashed into the bridge in March of 2024 killing 6 people.
Taxpayer money will not fund this year's Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Instead, a company called Harbinger is offering corporate sponsors a variety of branding and signage opportunities. Any extra money raised through the Egg Roll will go to the White House Historical Association. Critics say monetizing the event is inappropriate.
