Mental illness could be a factor in a deadly police shooting in Chesterfield County. Police shot and killed Ronnie Estes yesterday in Brandermill on Birnam Woods Drive. Police were called for a report of shots being fired at a gas station. Police Chief Frank Carpenter says Estes pulled a gun and fired a shot. Officers returned fire and killed the 23-year-old. Estes' aunt tells CBS 6 he suffered from mental illness but seemed to be getting better.
