One person is facing charges after a child brought a loaded gun to a Richmond preschool. Police found the gun yesterday at Maymont Preschool on South Allen Ave. It was in a three-year-old's backpack. No one was hurt. Chesterfield's Valentino Christian was charged with allowing access to firearms by children. There's no word on how Graham is connected to the child.
A national outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza among dairy cows was first confirmed late last month but the FDA says the milk is still safe to consume. Scientific experts say so far there is no evidence of the infectious virus in pasteurized milk and the samples that led to the announcement have been tested and show that the virus was not contagious or "alive". NPR reports that the FDA has encouraged consumers not to drink raw, unpasteurized milk.
