Police are investigating a deadly weekend crash at a Fairfax car wash. Investigators say a customer was driving away from the Flagship Carwash on Fairfax Boulevard when the crash happened on Saturday morning. Three employees were hit and taken to a local hospital. Sixty-two-year-old Martha Nguyen [[ win ]] of Fairfax died from her injuries. Investigators say speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
Americans purchased over five-million guns in the first four months of 2024. On Friday, the FBI released new data which shows April as the 57th consecutive month that over a million guns were sold with 1 third of Americans owning a gun. About five-and-a-half-million guns were purchased from January through April of this year, slightly lower than the amount purchased in 2023. The numbers align with the slowing trend of gun purchasing in the U.S. after firearm sales peaked in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
