A northern Virginia school board member has been sentenced to 12 days in jail for his role in the 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Frederick County School Board member Miles Adkins entered a guilty plea yesterday to two charges connected to entering the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. He will serve his sentence on weekends and will then spend two years on probation. He was also ordered to pay a one-thousand-dollar fine and 500 dollars in restitution. Adkins has refused to resign his position on the school board despite criticism of his actions in 2021.
